Sunrise Adams was born in St. Louis but spent most of her life growing up in a small town in East Texas named Pickton with a whopping population of 90 people! Her family was not well off, in fact, she grew up in near poverty. She had no phone, no TV and no friends to play with for miles. She describers herself as a wild and curious tomboy, in the 6th grade she tattooed HORNY on her knuckles using a sewing needle and ink drawn from a pen! She was very gifted athletically and academically, excelling in both but particularly in basketball and most notably in football. She was the only female to play for both the Junior and Senior Varsity teams. Her excellence in academics allowed her to graduate from high school at the early age of 16, she even enrolled in a local community college during her last two years in high school. She then went on to study in Business and was on her way to a Business Administration degree.
Sunrise is the niece of Adult Film world Superstar Sunset Thomas. Just before Sunrise’ 18th birthday, her aunt was working at the Sonic Drive-In and Sunrise decided to drop in on her and paid her a visit, arriving in a Tractor Trailer. During the visit, Sunset convinced her niece that the adult film industry could be the way out of small town Texas, and possibly lead her to fame and fortune. In January 2001, just having turned 18, Sunset decided to head for the bright lights and opportunities of Los Angeles to begin a successful career in the adult film world. Aunt Sunset even helped pick out her stage name which complemented her very own.
