PRODUCTION BEGINS ON THE ULTIMATE REALITY TV SHOW
Can You Be A Porn Star?
Nov 2003 - New York-based Silhouette Entertainment has announced the start of production in Los Angeles on the explicit Pay Per View reality TV-series: "Can You Be A Porn Star?"
The first of seven one-hour shows will be broadcast on Pay Per View on Thursday, January 8, with new episodes airing every other Thursday climaxing with a 90-minute grand finale.
28 aspiring porn starlets compete for a one-year video contract and $100,000 in "Can You Be a Porn Star?"
A panel of adult personalities including Ginger Lynn, Asia Carrera, Amber Lynn and Teri Weigel, will rate the performances of the contestants with the final winner being determined in part by audience voting.
Adult video stars Tabitha Stevens and recent gubernatorial candidate Mary Carey will host the show.
"Can You Be A Porn Star?" is the first reality show to push the content limits of the adult film business with uninhibited nudity and sizzling sexuality.

Golf: U.S. Open... porn star Brittney Skye disrupts final round
June 16, 2003 - OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. - A topless woman attempted to hand Jim Furyk a pair of roses near the 11th green Sunday, disrupting the final round of the U.S. Open briefly before being arrested by authorities.
The woman, later identified as porn star Brittney Skye, approached Furyk near the green with the roses before being apprehended, a USGA official said. She had an advertisement for a Web site printed on her front and back.
"I was definitely caught off guard," Furyk said. "I turned around and she was already up on top of me. I just wanted to back off from the situation and get back to playing golf."
The woman was being held by local police, and was expected to be charged with disorderly conduct.
Furyk shot a 2-over 72 Sunday to win his first major golf championship.

November 8, 2002 - Private's The Private Gladiator Named Top DVD by UK's FHM
LONDON - The Private Gladiator - Collector's Edition DVD, released by Private Media Group earlier this year, has been named "greatest porn DVD ever" by the UK edition of FHM. The December issue contains a list of fifty titles selected by FHM.
Private landed not only the top spot, but had another four titles in the list of fifty as well.
